MIRA CITY





Mira Canton is located s to the southwest of the province of Carchi, nestled in a natural “mirador” known as the "Balcony of the Andes." Two roads provide access to this beautiful Canton:

By using the route Tulcán North - The Angel - Mira.

From the south using the route Ibarra – Mascarilla

Mira has a variety of microclimates, as its sloped floor ranges from 1000 to 3500 meters above the sea level, resulting in high temperatures, medium and low. The city of Mira has a pleasant climate that averages 18 º C as it is at 2,450 meters above the sea level and has an annual rainfall of 636 mm. resulting in a diverse agricultural production.

SANTUARIO DE LA VIRGEN DE LA CARIDAD


Located in the city of Mira, it is a colonial-style church built in the late fifteenth century. Its façade and towers were rebuilt in 1937, which consists of a single ship; in its altar is the image of the Blessed. Virgin de la Caridad, whose origin is not clearly established, but dates from about 1545, there's the Santa Custody gold-plated stone baptismal dates from 1597, the bell Colonial Governor Don Nycole time Narchyn Ynyra Lopes. There are also two magnificent paintings such as the painting of "The Souls" and "Divina Pastora" attributed to Luis Rivera, and other saints who are venerated in the church.
